We’ve made it to the third and final week of our 21 Day Sugar Detox (21DSD).  It’s been refreshing to return to real food, and I’m feeling better than I have in weeks.  If you’re also on the detox with us this go around, we hope you’re having a similar experience.  Here are some of the things we are cooking this week.

Breakfast:

easy gluten free sausage breakfast casserole

Deep Dish Sausage Breakfast Casserole
This was a big hit during week one, and I’m looking forward to having a few breakfasts that are ready to go and require no preparation.  Make ahead is definitely a friend of mine.

Lunch/Dinner:

greek chicken thighs

Mom’s Greek Chicken
Since posting this a few weeks ago, it has been very popular.  We have made it twice since posting it, and we look forward to having it around the house again.  Others have made it with chicken strips, wings and drumsticks, and all have had positive feedback.  We hope you enjoy it as well.

spicy beef curry

Spicy Beef Curry
This is a repeat from last week, as it’s awfully filling and tastes great.  It’s a great way to use a less expensive cut of meat for a really good dinner.

Hearty Stovetop Chili

Hearty Stovetop Chili
This is another fan favorite.  I love of one-pot meals, so this will be a good addition to this week’s meals.  It’s chock full of vegetables, as well as ground beef, chorizo, and bacon—there’s a little bit of something for everyone in this chili.

Snacks/Sides:

This week we’ll be taking advantage of a lot of sautéed spinach, nuts, and some hardboiled eggs.  We make eggs and spinach in large batches, so that way we have food at the ready when we’re feeling hungry.

This is the last week of the 21DSD.  Make the most of it, and enjoy it!

  1. Give your Mom a hug from me! And please tell her she raised good kids! I love all your recipes. Made the mushroom soup and took some to my neighbor. She loved it and wouldn’t even share with her Dad who lives with her 😦 Shame on her, must make more!
